Parents,
Most of your child's research and report writing will happen at school. You can help by editing your child's rough drafts at home as the due date (Jan.12) approaches. Editing "one-on one" is incredibly important and valuable to your child's learning—in both conventions and editing. I've noticed over the years that if I (the teacher) simply correct rough draft papers without the child physically standing by my side, it simply becomes "me" doing a lot of work, and the child mindlessly copying his/her finished copy without learning much about conventions and/or the editing process. Your help with some one-on-one is powerful! Thanks for any help you can provide. J
